Hello I’m Louise, an Ayurvedic massage and lifestyle consultant and yoga therapist. I am the face behind Replenish Her, where I support women to find balance in their health and wellbeing through Ayurveda and yoga lifestyle practices and remedies.
I love the way that Ayurveda guides you back to your state of balance in such a natural way that is often intuitive, commonsense and always forgiving.
Ayurveda is the indigenous medical system of India that looks at the relationship of the body mind and spirit, in harmony with nature.
I came upon Ayurveda in my thirties, but life was busy and it soon got swept to the side. As I entered my late forties and into the peri-pemopause transition of life, I realised I needed to look at little more closely at how I was living. My sleep was very affected, decision making and overwhelm were partners in crime. I was constantly getting sick and was really run down. To me I hardly seemed to be burning the candle at both ends so to speak, but I was living with a low grade hum of stress in the backgorund of my life and had become used to that way of operating. It’s not sustainable.
By introducing some simple Ayurveda lifestyle tips and kitchen remedies and simple yet purposeful yoga into my life, was what began to turn things around for me. Some kitchen wisdom and understanding my constitutional blueprint, gave me a map to find some more balance and ease in my life.
We will explore your dosha or constitution to uncover your unique blueprint. More importantly, we’ll look at how the seasons influence your well-being, providing you with nourishing practices to add to your toolkit. You’ll begin to identify the areas where you may go out of balance and learn tools to help restore harmony. Know that balance is a dynamic process, not a fixed state.
You’ll discover simple seasonal recipes, lifestyle practices, Abhyanga self-massage, rituals, pranayama breathing exercises, yoga, and meditation techniques tailored to both the season and your current state of being, helping to balance mind, body, and spirit — all of which are interconnected.
There will be a couple of yoga practices, one grounding hatha yoga and a restorative yoga nidra.
Additionally, you’ll learn Ayurvedic basics to support your individual constitution, helping you recognize your tendencies and understand how to best support them.
